Separate Ways

As Faye Wong's music has filled the air waves at home in recent times, there has been a recent development.

Catriona has chosen her next song to sing :

Yes, it's a Japanese song. Just as Kiroro's was.

I don't know Catriona's criteria when it comes to choosing songs to like. I'm just hoping it's pure coincidence that her last two favoured tunes happened to be Japanese songs.

Home Alone

As father and child had been left to their own devices for the weekend, we had to find things to do.

Saturday : the girl went to her Godma's, then to Uncle Rudeen's to meet his girls and finally to meet her cousin, Ashley. Full day indeed, and one that she enjoyed.

Sunday : just her Pa; and included the swimming pool, pizza and the purchase of a pink head band.

So, one more day to go before she sees her mother again. Surprisingly, she's handled it pretty well.

And now, a photo that makes me envy kids :

on Benitez

In a way, I pity my friends who are Liverpool fans.

They feel a sense of loyalty towards Rafa Benitez for winning the 2005 Champions League, but as his only other trophy was the 2006 FA cup, Rafa's record is nothing to shout about. In fact, I think that the Champions League win has made them Liverpool fans delusional about Rafa's capabilities as a manager.

Other than the fact that he has a tendency to get into verbal fisticuffs with other managers, Rafa's also been implicitly damned by his own players for not communicating with them. And it's not just the players who are not playing who have made public their grievances. Even Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres have mentioned this trait.

But there's one thing that really riles me about Benitez.

He has often pointed out that United and Chelsea have bigger budgets than Liverpool, implying that he is not able to compete with them due to financial constraints.

Steve Nicol, a Liverpool player for 14 years has something to say about this :

"They've spent over £200 million so you can't say they've not had money to buy players. If you don't get the right players, you're not going to win games, and you have to say they haven't got the right players as a unit.''

Now Rafa can say that he's had to sell players to to finance his purchase of new players but if he had bought the right players in the first place then he wouldn't have had a need to keep on buying new players. So far, his hit-and-miss record has been more Miss than Hit.

But the most glaring omission in Rafa's CV at Liverpool could yet be the fact that Liverpool's youth system has not produced a single significant player for their first team squad. 6 years at Liverpool, and Rafa hasn't been able to get even one first eleven player from Liverpool's youth system. Compare that record against Sir Alex Ferguson's and Arsene Wenger's and it's apparent that Rafa's looks terrible.

And that's a fact.

Meanwhile, at Old Trafford.....

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

Beating Liverpool.

Tasty.

Boo...

I'd like to pass on this story from the Salt Lake Tribune.

Kyrylo Fesenko

It seems there are haunted tales about the hotel the Jazz and other NBA clubs use in Oklahoma City. The story goes that a pregnant maid was locked in the penthouse and eventually jumped from the window. Some folks have since claimed they hear a baby crying at night (which, of course, could be just a baby crying at night).

The Tribune reports that one Jazz player put on headphones and left the Bible out “to ward off the spirits.” But an even better reaction is that of Utah center Kyrylo Fesenko, who told the paper, “For me, I cannot be afraid of ghosts because I was abducted by aliens.”

In Verse

There's just no getting away from you-know-who, David Beckham, that is. Fresh from surgery on his achilles tendon injury, Golden Balls is still in the headlines and has been invited to the World Cup in spite of his injury.

With the coverage, one would be tempted to think that England has lost one of it's most important players for the World Cup. Realistically, Beckham would have been a substitute coming on in the last 15-30 minutes of the game, if at all. A very useful substitute, but a substitute nonetheless.

Still........ it is DAVID BECKHAM, you know. The one whose right foot has been mentioned as one of the things that make Great Britain great.

And that's why, among his sacks of get-well-soon messages, there's one from Britain's Poet Laureate, Carol Ann Duffy, shown below :

Achilles

Myth's river - where his mother dipped him, fished him, a slippery golden boy flowed on, his name on its lips.

Without him, it was prophesied, they would not take Troy.

Women hid him, concealed him in girls' sarongs; days of sweetmeats, spices, silver songs ...

But when Odysseus came, with an athlete's build, a sword and a shield, he followed him to the battlefield, the crowd's roar,

And it was sport, not war, his charmed foot on the ball ...

But then his heel, his heel, his heel ...

how to answer difficult questions during interview

Someone posted this in Facebook
y they have to ask those stupid standard questions like y we should hire u, what is ur strength & weakness, what do u c in yourself after 3 o 5 yrs, what u can give n gain from this company??

And the answer come back as below:

LOL .. just be sarcastic and smile lo .. if he dont like the answer ..just say .. " ohh, i'm just being honest "

but is normal that interviewers tend to ask stupid question sometimes to test ur patience.
diff ppl diff question ma. moreover nowadays those HR policy and std coming out more and more that contributed to such thing

you should hire me because i am good at what I do and you need people like me, my strength is your weakness and my weakness is your strength, i see my self aging in 3 - 5 years, if nothing goes wrong then I would gain lots of money from your company

one day i will try to give that answer in an interview.. but i mod abit "you should hire me because i am good at what I do and you need people like me, my strength is your weakness and my weakness is your strength, i see my self aging in 3 - 5 years, if nothing goes wrong then I would be sitting on par with you or perhaps even higher than yourself"

ROFLOL ... in 3-5 years, i plan to politically out maneuver you, get your job, and then have you fired. *sweet innocent yet devilish grin* plus hand grabbing his balls ...

Actually those dumb questions are some how related to an individual's personality wo.. i read somewhere looooong time ago ...so

1. what's your hobby?/ what do you do with your free time? = to see whether your interest/extrovert/introvert

thus, if you answer, in my free time i have sexual intercourses.. either 1 on 1 or more than 1. ...

argument : i believe this answer can pass based on

argument 1: sex can be a hobby
argument 2: it shows active-ness in terms of exercising
argument 3: having sex with 1 or more shows u r an extrovert persona
argument 4: having sex with 1 person only as stated above also proof that u r also an rather conservative person and do have privacy ..

Jose Mourinho,we have miss you.

No matter whether you love him or loath him, you can't deny that this guy is good and some might agreed that he is special. Waiting for the day the special one comes back to EPL and spice things up.
