Just because now is World Cup and who can forget this ponytail.. when he fought for a chance to go Korea/Japan 2002, he said "i am willing to carry players' bag if I can go". He performed a miracle by getting himself fit 76 days after a crucial ligament damage and scored again in the first match he played. The coach didn't choose him, it is not his fault. Since Italy crashed out so miserably, may be it is a good thing that he didn't go.
He is gone, but still remembered for his talents, perseverance, courage and all that he is. The prince and pride of Italian football.....foverer.
