Hard to believe that Ryan Giggs made his first team Manchester United debut against Everton all of 20 years ago today. 20 years of consistently excellent, frequently brilliant football. 20 years worth of memories in which that man Giggs has graced.There were many highlight moments, of course, but like most Manchester United fans, my abiding memory of Giggs will always be THAT goal against Arsenal in the 1999 FA Cup semifinal replay (here). I must have been jumping and shouting and screaming when he scored that goal cos I don't remember much about what I did then.
So I'll raise a glass tonight for Ryan Giggs. Thanks for the memories and I hope that there will be more to come.
