Obligatory CNY Traditions II

The latter portion of our trip to Penang showcased.

Catriona with her immediate uncle and aunty.

Tossing the yee sang. A delicacy 'invented' in Singapore.

With some of her cousins. The little girl's name, Kayleen, has the same meaning as Catriona.

Catriona's grandmother pointing out the common denominator in all the photographs. You don't have to be up close to guess who it is.

Her grandpa spent an hour with her at Borders while the parents were at Starbucks. Obligatory trip to bookshop when at shopping complex is a tradition for us.

We found ourselves with 30 minutes to burn so we spent it at a playground.

Catriona proving that size doesn't matter on a see saw.

Bridge at the garden of the playground. The thing about photos is that you can't smell the stink of the stream below the bridge.

Michelle with aspirations to be a Bollywood star.

A new waterfront has been revealed with the opening of Queensbay Mall.

You can create your own private world if you concentrate hard enough.

Taking the Bollywood angle to the streets.

With her cousin Ashley. They started really interacting on this trip as Catriona has learnt to play together with Ashley. As opposed to playing beside Ashley. In fact, I overheard them discussing the various methods of drinking a yoghurt drink.

The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades.

Ashley getting in on the act.

My father getting in on the act.

and Catriona finished off the sessions with a few poses.
